BAHAWALPUR, Jul 17 (APP): A man drowned after allegedly suffering epileptic seizure while bathing in a canal in Shamsabad area of Ahmadpur East tehsil of the district.
Official sources in the Punjab Emergency Service said that a 50-year-old man reportedly drowned after suffering an epileptic seizure while bathing in a canal in Shamsabad area near Ahmadpur East city.
They said that the victim identified as Mehboob son of Ramzan, had gone to the canal for a bath when he suddenly experienced an epileptic seizure, causing him to fall into the water and drown. Rescue officials stated that the victim’s relatives were present at the scene and declined to have the body shifted to a hospital. At their request, the body was instead moved to the family’s nearby residence.
